"Carved Into The Night Sky" -(The skeletal frame of the song was arranged during the winter of 2014 and at the time it was nothing more than just a taunt, metronomic drum pattern that I could coax out of the drum machine and it's already limited range. Informed by seeing jet fighters around that time make runs across an ominous muted dusk, I sculpted out an urgent very post punk/motorik body whose peak was the ebowed guitar solos that fade in and out in the instrumental choruses. Lyrically, like the track before it, it too deals with a small array of social,political,and environmental concerns albeit articulated from a place of world weary desperation and not menacing spite.

There has been recorded a 'live in the studio version' featuring like what was done with 'Baptized By The Void' an array of stand-alone instruments. It's a much more organic rendition, and I personally like it over what resulted with the final studio version. But that was an indulgent luxury of mine being able to re-do how I originally wanted the song to sound like. In fact, the original is strong enough that I almost releasing it prior to the album as a single.)

Epidemics spread to new hosts
Evacuees flee from the coasts

Bombers were released from stand-by
Payloads carved into the night sky
